Doing it for the kids
We often feel like we can’t make a difference in the world but what if we told you the opposite were true? We have soooo much more power than we realise - socially, politically and economically. Harnessing it starts with believing in ourselves and doing the things we’re already good at in support of a bigger cause.
Doing it yourself doesn’t mean doing it alone - there are people out there who are ready to help, like our growing community! We’re holding a conversation about the small things we’re each brilliant at, to inspire action and knowledge exchange. This is an invitation for us to own our strengths and use those talents to take charge.

We all have days when we think, “but what can I do?” On those days, we only need to remember this: without the mums, there’d be no economy. There’d be no life. There’d be no dinner! We thought, what if we took the power of mums out of the house and put it into the world? Imagine what would be possible if we were making all the decisions?

If that sounds like a lot, here’s the best bit: we only need to do what we already do every day. Like organising, caring, shopping, being able to do 500 things at once. We’re just going to do it more loudly, remove what’s in our way and feel better about everything.

We say “mums” but everybody knows that raising a child takes a village. Mothership is about the mums and the aunties, grannies, godmums, step mums, adopted mums, future mums, child-free mums, plant mums, dog mums, the dads and everybody who cares about kids. Bring yourself (your whole self).
